Hi — I'm Camille Durand, founder and editor of Acidadventure. I'm a city wanderer, street-food enthusiast and urban photographer who spends as much time exploring back alleys, markets and transit lines as I do planning the next rooftop sunrise. I write, shoot and map stories that help curious travelers experience cities beyond the tourist checklist.

I was born in Lyon and have lived, worked and traveled across Europe, North Africa and Latin America. Over the past decade I’ve carved my curiosity into a practical practice: seeking neighborhoods where locals gather, learning the food rituals that define a place, and documenting the rhythms of everyday life through candid photos and detailed itineraries.

On Acidadventure I blend immersive storytelling with useful guidance. Expect neighborhood deep-dives, street-food walkthroughs (what to order, where to stand, how to behave), photo-led itineraries and realistic travel tips — from navigating public transport to budgeting a day of memorable eats. My aim is to make cities feel accessible, safe and endlessly discoverable.

My background mixes urban studies, freelance travel writing and photography. I hold a degree in cultural geography and have collaborated with local guides, chefs and archivists to ensure my guides reflect authentic, often overlooked perspectives. I focus on slow exploration: small-scale routes, sensory details and the human stories that turn a map into a memory.

I shoot with a compact mirrorless camera and prefer light that reveals texture — wet cobblestones, neon signs and market stalls at golden hour. My photo essays are intentionally portable: visual snapshots that pair with concise directions so you can recreate an experience without needing a professional kit.

I write in English and French and love helping fellow travelers plan trips that feel personal.
